In the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, Guntur serves as the district’s administrative hub. With a 168.49 km2 size, Guntur is the third-largest city in the state. It is situated 64 kilometres (40 miles) west of the Bay of Bengal on the Eastern Coastal Plains. The city, which is in the centre of Andhra Pradesh and acts as a crossroads for several districts, is the state’s economic and cultural centre. The biggest chilli market yard in Asia can be found there, and it serves as a major hub for the export of tobacco, cotton, and chilli. It serves as the main economic, educational, and transportation hub for the whole state.
The NTR bus station in Guntur is owned by the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. The bus terminal provides both Andhra Pradesh city and district services, as well as buses from adjacent states Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. The bus terminal covers an area of 2.25 acres (0.91 hectare) and serves about 2000 buses each day from all areas in the state. A new micro bus station with 13 stations is being developed within the current one’s grounds to conduct city and nonstop services. It is one of the state’s Wi-Fi-enabled bus terminals.
